There needs to be balance between people keeping safe, and people having control over their lives. If you always 'play it safe' it is difficult to change your life for the better. Person Centred Planning is about listening to what people really want, and then helping them make it happen. It can help think of
new ways to get things done and to think through risks. Find out more from our person centred planning section. People in the past have been sent away and excluded from their community. This means they have fewer people in their lives who are there because they like or love them (and not just paid to be with them). This can make people 'isolated' - and so more at risk.
